We make our way to the Mall.

These huge trees along the Mall must be over a hundred
years old.

This is Bethesda Terrace. Note the green, green water. I wouldn't want
a mouthful of that... The fountain is called The Angel of the Waters fountain.

This, appropriately, is "The Lake".

We make our way to the Mall.

Now we are in a conflagration of interconnecting trails called The Ramble.
It reminded me of the small trout stream valleys back in Minnesota. I was
struck that folks a hundred years ago saw much the same thing as we were
viewing right now. Central park functions in part as a kind of a connectivity
between past and present generations I think here I am trying to focus on
the running water.
