  c12.jpg Someone's little lamb.
c13.jpg What would agriculture be without giant pumpkins? You can get a free pamphlet on how to grow your own giant pumpkins. The secret is to bury the runners so they root and provide nourishment to only one big yellow orb.
c14.jpg This picture is not in focus, but just shows how many folks just wander around looking at any and everything.
c15.jpg Margaret scores our Tom Thumb mini doughnuts. These miniature doughnuts are cooked up right before your eyes and sold in sugary bags of thirteen doughnuts each. Best eaten hot right out of the oil.
c16.jpg This is a crowded Saturday.
c17.jpg We are going to go up in the space ride. You get a pretty good view of the fairgrounds and both downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul.
c18.jpg I had better pay attention, I think that old lady in the purple shirt is after our doughnuts.
c19.jpg For what it's worth, downtown St. Paul looking across it's city neighborhoods.
c20.jpg The Minneapolis skyline. The ride rotates 360 degrees as you ascend and then descend.
c21.jpg A good shot of the midway. Because the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota emphasizes agriculture, there are many open fields in what is the middle of a very urban area.
c22.jpg There are several small bandstands scattered around the fair. We walked by this one as they announced that they were going to raise the U.S. flag.
c23.jpg Haul away, my good man. Thank you for your service.
