f27.jpg We couldn't think of anything to ask the candidate.
f28.jpg Margaret is very photogenic. At this point I ran out of film. I had to go buy an instant camera and finish taking pictures. Light leaked in and so some of the pictures have red streaks.
g11.jpg I just had to take a picture of the butter sculptures. Every fair princess has her likeness carved in butter in the dairy building. Here the carving is going on. Note that because of the cold the princess is wearing a royal wrap.
g13.jpg This used to be the Mexican Village, now it is called International Market Square. There are many small shops - this one sells jewlery.
g14.jpg The smoke from a barbecue stand adds to the surrealness of this shot of the expansive crowd.
g15.jpg Sweet Martha chocolate chip cookies are sold by the overflowing bucket.
g16.jpg Now we have entered the midway. We won't go on any rides, although Margaret would love to. Me, with an inner ear thing, I would barf if I went on a merry-go-round.
g17.jpg It is getting very late in the afternoon and the sun is getting pretty low in the sky.
g18.jpg Here is a ballon game where the carnies hand out little junk prizes if you manage to break a balloon with a dart.
g19.jpg Man, hasn't everyone had the experience of having a carnie rudely try and get you to waste your money trying to win a rigged game?
  g20.jpg Giant ... Ferris ... wheel.
