Sainte-Chapelle church is close to
Notre dame, though not everyone knows about it. It is located next to the Palace
of Justice, nearer the Seine. Look at the grime of the centuries that has
built up on this building.

Here is a quick shot of the Palace of Justice.

The outside of Sainte-Chapelle is ornate. It is now about three or four in the
afternoon. The picture on the extreme left shows the distinctive spire - look
for it at the very top (well duh).
There was a short wait to get through the gate and also again to enter the
church. On the right is more grime and a gargoyle - always with the gargoyles!

The inside is spectacular. Note the similarity to the Cavalrymen's room.

Make sure you click on this picture to see the enlargement. Elegant.

Here is some more stained glass within Sainte-Chapelle.

Notice how ornate things are. We walked up a spiral stair case to the upper
floor of the church. I walked out this door to view the courtyard below.

Margaret in Sainte-Chapelle. Notice the people just sitting along the edges of
the church viewing the elegant stained glass.

Another shot of Sainte-Chapelle reaching up into the hot afternoon sky.

We are standing on the steps of the Palace of Justice looking out into it's courtyard.
