You go to the Table Rock Center to reach the
Journey Behind the Falls tour, where you get to see the Canadian Horseshoe Falls from
below and also get to walk through a tunnel cut behind the falls. There are openings
where you can see the cataract thundering across your field of vision.

You get in line and wait before taking an elevator down to the attraction. The picture
on the right shows the "side" of the falls and is framed by a canopy over the walkway.
If you enlarge it you will see an opposing rainbow arcing in from the left, and
the rim of the falls in the center.
It's wet down here, so I have limited ability to take pictures.

This is a tough shot for a camera - darkness in the foreground with bright light in
the distance.
|
The number of people viewing the sights is well managed - everyone gets a good look
at a very beautiful sight. You are right next to the thundering cataract.

I couldn't decide which of these shots to use so I am throwing them both up here.

Here we are back in the tunnel looking through what seems to be a brick oven at the
falls. My comment is that this might as well be a shower running past a window.
It's nice, but to me not very meaningful. Now if you could get close enough to
stick your hand into the torrent .... !

I have found this "take a picture of the explanations" method helps the narrative and
cuts down on the 'stuff I have to look up.
