1118m.jpg We stopped by to visit the farm of Karl, who is my mother's cousin. Frieda's father is also my mother's cousin. This farm is right in the village of Furth - it's fields are located several kilometers away. It too was once part of the monastery lands.
1117b.jpg As you can see, they keep chickens.
1117e.jpg We make our way around the farm. On the right are giant cabbages.
1117i.jpg 1117q.jpg The two cousins, Sebastian and Karl.
1117j.jpg A tractor in the foreground, hay bales up to the top of the barn in the background. Karl kept cows, so this must be one source of feed for them. Karl still actively farms, Sebastian is retired and his son runs his farm.
1117k.jpg Here is the barn and courtyard of the farm. It's very strange to see farm buildings in the village right next to regular houses. There were several farms within the village.
1117l.jpg 1117o.jpg Here you can see the front of the house with it's beautiful drape of flowers. Under it we pose with our relatives.
